Marketplace Agreement

Beyya Traders is a managed marketplace. Sellers list products (often sourced after payment), buyers pay Beyya, and we hold the money for protection. Delivery can be through our hubs or by the seller. This page explains — in plain language — how it works.

01. How an order works

    Seller lists a product

    A registered seller uploads photos and sets the price. Listings are screened and approved by Beyya Traders before they go live. Many items are not ready stock — the seller may source or import them after the buyer pays.

    Buyer orders & pays Beyya

    The buyer pays Beyya Traders (item price + delivery or seller-delivery service charge). We hold the payment securely — the seller is not paid yet.

  3. 3

    Seller prepares the item

    The seller sources the goods (including from abroad if needed) within the promised time, then either brings them to a Beyya hub or delivers them to the buyer if seller delivery was chosen at checkout.

    Delivery to the buyer

    Beyya delivery: after the hub receives the goods, we deliver through our network. Seller delivery: the seller delivers directly to the buyer; Beyya still holds payment and handles disputes.

  5. 5

    Buyer inspects & accepts

    The buyer checks the item. Once the buyer accepts it — and there is no open problem or claim — the order can be completed for payout.

    Seller gets paid

    We release the agreed item price to the seller (minus commission) only after acceptance and only when any dispute is closed. Delivery fees and seller-delivery service charges stay with Beyya Traders.

    If there is a problem

    The buyer must provide photo or video proof. For hub returns, the item should be returned to a Beyya Traders hub. While a claim is open, payment stays held — it is not released to the seller.

  8. 8

    Verified claim → full refund

    If the claim is verified, the buyer receives a full refund of the item price. The seller may be charged return / delivery costs and a penalty for a wrong or defective item. If the seller never supplies the order in time, the buyer can be refunded and the seller receives no payout.

02. The agreement

🧑‍💼 Seller commitments

  1. I will sell through a registered seller account, and every listing I post is subject to Beyya Traders' approval before it goes live.
  2. I confirm my items are genuine, accurately described and in the condition stated, and I will show a realistic supply / delivery time when goods are sourced after payment.
  3. I understand payment is held by Beyya Traders and released to me only after the buyer accepts the item, and not while a problem, return, or claim is open.
  4. I accept a commission on each sale. For Beyya delivery, the delivery fee belongs to Beyya. For seller delivery, Beyya still charges a lower service fee than normal delivery (platform / protection fee).
  5. If I choose seller delivery, I will deliver the correct item myself by the promised date and will not collect extra payment from the buyer.
  6. If an item is proven defective or not as described, or I fail to supply it in time, I accept that the buyer may be refunded and I may bear related costs and a penalty.
  7. I will not list prohibited items and will respect the delivery size and weight limits.

🛡️ Buyer protection

  1. Your payment is held safely by Beyya Traders until you receive and accept your item.
  2. If you raise a problem or claim, your money stays held until the issue is reviewed and closed — it is not paid to the seller during that time.
  3. If your item is defective or not what was described, you can reject it / open a claim with clear photo or video proof.
  4. Where a physical return is required, return the item to a Beyya Traders hub (or follow Beyya’s instruction for seller-delivery orders) before the refund is processed.
  5. Once your claim is verified, you receive a full refund of the item price.
  6. Buying through Beyya Traders means you deal with us — one trusted point for payment hold, support and refunds, whether Beyya or the seller delivers.

03. Delivery options

Beyya delivery (default): the seller brings the goods to a Beyya hub; we deliver to the buyer. The full delivery fee for that area is charged and retained by Beyya.

Seller delivery (optional): the seller delivers directly to the buyer. Beyya still holds payment and handles disputes, and charges a service fee lower than the normal Beyya delivery fee for that area. The seller’s own travel cost is not paid by Beyya.

At checkout the buyer chooses the available option. Area (Male’, Hulhumalé, harbour, island cargo, etc.) is still selected so the correct fee can be calculated.

04. Refunds, returns & disputes

Refunds apply to items that are defective, damaged, or materially different from the listing, or when the seller fails to supply the order within the allowed time. They do not cover change of mind after acceptance. Claims must include proof (photo/video). While a claim or problem is open, Beyya continues to hold the payment and does not release it to the seller until the matter is resolved. Beyya Traders reviews the evidence and makes the final decision fairly for both sides.

05. Prohibited items & delivery limits

The following may not be sold: illegal goods, weapons, hazardous or flammable materials, counterfeit or fake branded products, live animals, and perishable food without approved handling. All items must fit our delivery size and weight limits — ask us in advance about bulky or high-value goods so we can arrange special handling.

By listing or purchasing on Beyya Traders you agree to this Marketplace Agreement. Beyya Traders may update these terms; the latest version always applies. Last updated: 9 July 2026.
